Extraordinary Readers' Advisory librarians have a routine.
In these activities, you will "try out" habits or practices that will develop your Readers' Advisory skills, especially related to adult popular fiction. Consider adding one (or all) of these practices into your weekly or monthly routine in order to deepen your RA knowledge and skills.
Learning goals:
Lesson 8 - Practice using a variety of resources to keep a TBR ("to be read") list of books.
Lesson 9 - Apply Joyce Saricks's principle of "the rule of three" to a variety of recently read books.
Lesson 10 - Use "10 minute reading" process to determine main appeals of a variety of books.
Lesson 11 - Analyze recent bestselling books by genre, appeal factors, and other information readers might like to know.
